"A Night Of Rhythmic Lunacy In Honor Of Legends
John Entwistle and Keith Moon Of The Who"

Thursday,   April 24th, 2014
House Of Blues, West Hollywood

This is it! Never been done before! Bonzo Bash and Randy Rhoads Remembered creators Brian Tichy and Joe
Sutton give it up to the Rhythm Section! The foundation of what makes the rock roll! The groove and low end that moves millions!

After coming off of 3 days of very successful shows during NAMM
Weekend, 2014, which included the 9th Bonzo Bash and the very first Randy Rhoads Remembered celebration, Joe Sutton was approached to take over a night in April at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood. Tichy and Sutton got together and reviewed some of the ideas that they had not yet pursued. They decided that rather than do another Bonzo Bash or RRR Celebration so soon after the last ones, they would go for a new idea that has never been done before! They chose to not only celebrate one icon in rock, but
two at the same time! And the two just happen to form one of the most revered rhythm sections in all of rock 'n roll!  John Entwistle and Keith Moon of The Who!

Tichy says,"This idea of celebrating the rhythm section in all its glory, is pretty exciting to me. We are giving full focus to what many may agree is "the other side" of the band. Singers and guitar players seem to generate the most attention in a band as we often hear about the visual and songwriting chemistry of Jagger/Richards, Page/Plant, Tyler/Perry, Roth/Van Halen, etc… but without the additional chemistry of their respective rhythm sections,
those bands and those songs would not have the groove and sound that helped propel said bands and songs to legendary status!

In addition to the aforementioned singer/gtrst. teams, one cannot go without including  Daltrey/Townshend. They are also at the top of the top. I feel it's safe to say that they also had one of the most unique and talented rhythm sections ever. John "The Ox" Entwistle brought his huge aggressive tone, nimble fingered technique and melodically busy lines to every Who song! His distinct sound would immediately conjure up the image of a man that cannot stand still, but quite to the contrary, The Ox remained virtually motionless as the other 3 members of The Who were inarguably the rowdiest and most energetic band up to then!

With that said, it was one drummer that took a blend of surf drumming and utter chaos to a new level! Keith "The Loon" Moon laid the groundwork of a style of drumming that has not been touched since! He was able to play a style unheard of prior to The Who and incorporate it into some of rock's most iconic songs. His drumming is legendary
as is his stage presence. His offstage antics, sense of humor and recklessness almost claim more fame than that of his drumming, but it is a combination of all of the above that has secured him as one of the greatest drummers of all time! I personally got real into Keith via the records Live At Leeds and Who's Next, but as equally important to me is their movie "The Kids Are Alright."  This movie showed the world how it is possible to take 4 extreme personalities that all happen to be amazing musicians, put them in one band with great songs and watch them exist on the edge of self destruction!  Moon wouldn't be outdone by Townshend live, and vice versa. This was Townshend's band, but it could only be this mighty with all 4 of them co-existing together without compromise.

So with all that, it leads up to our decision to dedicate one night to the "other 1/2" of this band!!  See and hear why John Entwistle and Keith Moon are one of the most highly regarded and well known rhythm sections of all time!! On their own they are noted as the best, and together they created a style never done before and never touched after!”

"The Ox And The Loon" Celebration will showcase each classic Who song played by a unique rhythm section featuring some of the best bassists and drummers around accompanied by the house band dubbed “The Wizards”! It’s time to give credit where credit is due! The Ox & The Loon set an unrivaled standard to this day!

Bass Lords and Drum Emperors to be announced soon!
